Meeting Minutes

A General PTO meeting was held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 7PM in the LGI. President Michelle McFall, Vice President Wendy Lindeman, Treasurer Larry Nicolette, and Co-Secretaries Jenna Heberle and Debby Rhea were in attendance as were 16 members of the PTO. The Board Members introduced themselves and invited PTO members to introduce themselves. Committee Chairs in attendance gave short descriptions of their committees and invited volunteers to help them with their events and activities. The following committees were represented: Talent Show; Spirit Sales; Fifth Grade Farewell; Hospitality; Kid Stuff Books; Volunteer Recruitment; Bake Sales; Fall Family Fun Night; Duck Race; Third Grade Garden Club; Market Day; Corporate Contributions; Homeroom Parents,; Original Works; and Father-Daughter Dance.

Treasurer Larry Nicolette presented the 2012-2013 budget of $75,141 which was approved by the members in attendance. Additionally, the PTO mission was discussed, as were ways in which the mission can be upheld and carried out for the current school year were discussed.

Lastly, Policy 7407, governing Volunteers and Clearances, was discussed in detail. Participants were instructed to contact Principal Tina Burns (tburns@franklinregional.k12.pa.us / 724-327-5456, Extension 3002) with questions regarding the policy.
