recently come to the attention of Administration, Homeroom Teachers,
and the PTO that some clearances submitted earlier in the year were
not added to the master spreadsheet and cannot be accounted for.
Those of you who have submitted clearances may wish to check with
Sloan Secretary Felicia Dusetzina (email@example.com) to see if they
are on record in the office before your next volunteer activity. For
those of you who have not yet obtained clearances, but plan to, we
recommend that you make copies for your own records before turning
them in. Links to the district's Volunteer Policy and Clearance
Forms may be found here.
The PTO is in need of volunteers next year to chair Fall
Family Fun Night, scheduled for Friday, October 11, and the Science
& Art Fair, scheduled for Friday, April 25. Fall Family Fun
Night is a fun kick-off event that celebrates our Sloan community and
the beginning of the new school year. The Science & Art Fair is a
special opportunity for our children to showcase their creativity,
grasp of the scientific method, and artistic skills. Both are
historically meaningful events, and we'd like for the tradition to
continue. We are also looking for a volunteer to serve as Co-Chair
with Jodi Horvath on the Kindergarten Welcoming and New Student
Orientation Committee, as Jodi will be moving on from Sloan at
the end of next school year. If you are interested in chairing any of
these committees, please contact Debby Rhea at firstname.lastname@example.org.

children's bus stops, you can! Simple gestures like holding
