I am a mom to Tyler, a 6th grader, and Quinn who will be entering 4rd grade in the fall. My husband, Tom, and I have lived in Murrysville since 2015. I am a proud stay-at-home mom but in my past life before children, I organized large events and fundraisers for a non-profit. I hope to bring some of that experience to my role in the PTO. Our family is heavily involved in soccer, basketball and flag football throughout the school year. In my free time, I like to bike, horseback ride (with Quinn), be outdoors and have fun with family and friends. I am looking forward to another year of meeting and getting to know other members of the Sloan family.
My husband, Todd, and I have 4 kids - Zach is my oldest and sweetest of them all and will be starting his first year of middle school this fall. Caisee is going into 3rd and makes me question my sanity daily, but she’s my best friend. Bailee is our spitfire, she just missed the cut off for KG so she will be attending Pre-K at the YMCA for one last year. Lainee completed our crew in March and solidified our life at Sloan for many years to come. During the school year we are all very involved in our activities and soccer but like to take the summers off to annoy each other as much as possible. Outside of school life I’m an Accounting Manager for Giant Eagle. Looking forward to a great school year!
My name is Melinda and my nickname is Mindy. I answer to both! My husband, Eric, and I have two boys. I Both our boys take Martial Arts and piano lessons. We enjoy spending time as a family doing many things but a few are: playing board games, puzzles, going on vacations, and hanging out in our backyard. My husband is a manager at Google and serves on the board for Familylinks. Before having kids I was a Massage Therapist but "retired" when we were pregnant with our oldest to "stay at home" with our kids. I enjoy volunteering at Sloan for many activities and on committees.
My family is relatively new to Murrysville, having moved here ahead of our oldest daughter starting kindergarten. Ivy is now entering the third grade and her little sister Louisa is six years behind her. I will be a Sloan parent for quite a few years! I am looking forward to being more involved in the school and building upon the strong foundation our past PTO members have created.
As Co-Treasurer my duties include presenting treasurer reports at the PTO meetings, monthly review of bank reconciliation and making all bank deposits.
My husband, Jeremy and I have two children. Our 8 year old daughter Joslyn is in 3rd grade at Sloan. Our 4 year old son Luka is in pre-k this upcoming school year. We have lived in Murrysville since 2013 and as a family we enjoy swimming, traveling, and anything Disney!
I am one of three co-leaders for girl scout brownie troop 16380. In addition to girl scouts, my daughter Joslyn is also on a competitive cheer and tumble team, and plays the piano. My son Luka has recently started playing dek hockey and is learning how to ice skate.
I am a fully licensed Financial Advisor with PNC Investments. I have worked for PNC since 1999, and have been in my current role as Financial Advisor since 2008.
I enjoy being involved in the school and have chaired a few PTO committees over the past several years. I am proud to call Franklin Regional my school district, and I am looking forward to working with the PTO at Sloan Elementary this school year.
My husband and I have 2 sons; Julian (2nd Grade) and Declan (Kindergarten). Julian is such a fun, caring, loving kid. He loves almost everything from playing soccer, to piano, dance, swimming and riding his bike. Declan is such a sweet, loving and wild child. He loves swimming and playing outside. As a family we love going to Disney World and just spending time as a family.
During the school year I volunteer for many of our functions such as the book fair, clerical, field day, jump rope for heart and the duck race.
I am looking forward to this upcoming school year and cannot wait to meet all of you!
As PTO Secretary, I take minutes of all assembly meetings, publish the Sloan E-News and manage our website, sloanpto.com
