Bake Sales

The Bake Sale Committee organizes the sales of homemade and store bought baked goods with the help our generous Sloan Families. We will be having three Bake Sales this year. The first was during Open House in September. The second will be held on the evening of March Math Madness on March 13th.  Our final Bake Sale will be held during Science Night on April 5th. 

Please look for information about donating treats closer to the Bake Sale. 

Book Fair

Mark your calendar for the 2019 spring book fair, which will be the week of March 11th. 

If you are interested in helping to plan for the fair, it's never too early to volunteer.

Box Tops for Education

We invite you to clip and save Box Tops labels from product brands such as General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Huggies, Ziploc, Scott, and Hefty to generate cash rebates for Sloan. Last year’s contest generated over $1500 in profit for our PTO.

The more we collect, the greater our rebates!  Please retain them (preferably in groups of 50) for the school-wide Box Tops contest that will be held from February 4th  through February 15th.

The online store offers the items from the initial sale with some new items coming soon. The site is open until Monday October 15th with delivery of orders around October 25th. Online orders will accept CREDIT CARD payments only. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Make sure to add the “2 Kids With Backpacks” icon to your cart and fill in the requested information to ensure your order will be delivered to your child’s classroom.

Excess for Recess

Every other year, the PTO collects gently used board games, puzzles, books, Legos, blocks and building toys, computer games, flash cards and card games to be used when the children are unable to go outside for recess. We also collect items for the outdoor recess. Some needed items are chalk, balls, jump ropes and skip-its.  In the fall we will have a “store” and give the teachers “money” to buy items for their classrooms. Donations can be dropped off in the school lobby. 

Information will be shared when the collection is active. 

Spirit Sales

Spirit Sales take place in the morning at 8:45.  

Fall: Wed. Sept 19 - Fri. Sept 21

Winter: Wed. Jan 9 - Fri. Jan 11

Spring: Mon Mar 11 - Fri. Mar 15

The purpose of Spirit Sales is not to raise funds for the PTO, but to build a sense of community and promote school pride. Our children look forward to the sales throughout the year.  Most items cost less than $1.00.  We offer pencils, stickers, pencil toppers, temporary tattoos, water bottles ($2), Panther towels ($4), lapel pins, bookmarks, and bead necklaces (limited to two/student).  Swim bags are offered in the Spring for $8. All items are while supplies last.
